Hidden Gem: Tech YouTube Channels to Follow in 2026
Unpopular opinion: big tech channels on YouTube review the same flagship phones in the same week, with the same studio lighting and the same sponsor reads. No judgement, just observation of something that comes together with a million audience and a higher demand for more content production.
If you want ideas you won't find everywhere else, the best tech content often lives in smaller, sometimes very niche channels: creators who go deep, and keep their own voice. We've prepared a list that covers three tech channels that, in our opinion, are worth subscribing to in 2026.
1. SleepyCatHey: useful tech with cat energy
SleepyCatHey (50,000+ subscribers) is the largest channel in our selection. It's a faceless tech channel featuring tutorials, experiments with random apps, and honest opinions, free of AI-written scripts or useless hype. Ah yeah, and with a cute cat always in the frame. Read the creator's description of the channel "a cat pretending to be a Linux user on Windows," and you'll instantly get the vibe!
What exactly will you find there?
Windows tips and hidden features: customization, themes, custom cursors, and PC setup
Must-have apps for productivity, design and development
Tools for designers and developers: UI/UX, web design and front-end workflows
Experiments with new apps and AI tools, including the ones that don't live up to the hype
The creator shares behind-the-scenes stuff on Discord, which makes the content even more 'real'. That transparency is rare, and it definitely builds trust with viewers.
2. Tech Tricks with Eli: Microsoft Office and Google Suite made simple
Tech Tricks with Eli (4,000+ subscribers) is a tutorial channel where Eli guides you through the tools most of us use every day: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and some more. She's there to 'demystify the ins and outs of these powerful tools' and boost your productivity.
What to expect from this channel?
Microsoft Office tutorials: Excel, Word and PowerPoint tips
Google Workspace guides for Docs, Sheets and other G Suite apps
Quick tricks that save time on everyday tasks
Instead of chasing new apps, Eli helps you get more out of the ones you already have open. Small fixes in Excel or Google Sheets often save more time than switching to a brand-new tool. Whether you're a student, office worker, or just a user of these tools, the blog is for you!
3. Bulla: hands-on reviews of apps for learning and productivity
Bulla (500+ subscribers) is one of those truly niche creators who make videos when there's something worth showing. The creator calls himself an 'occasional video-maker' and shares practical reviews of apps and tools that help people learn and stay productive. The style is simple and hands-on. Instead of reading out feature lists, Bulla shows how a tool works with real examples, so you can see right away whether it fits how you study or work.
What is inside this blog?
App and tool reviews focused on learning and productivity
Real examples of each tool in use, not just screenshots and specs
Practical takeaways you can try the same day
No hype and no padding. The videos get to the point and show the tool doing its job, which makes the channel a great place to discover apps you'd never find in a top-10 list. They're a real gem, especially for students and tech/ business professionals.
Conclusion
Niche tech channels give you what the big reviewers can't: real setups, honest opinions, and a creator who knows their corner of tech inside out. Use our list and discover the channel that interests you most at this time: SleepyCatHey with his Windows customization and new tools, Bulla with practical learning and productivity apps, or Eli with MO or G Suite tricks.
